Larry Halgren

VP Business Development, Aqua Marine Partners, LLC

Mr. Halgren has more than 34 years of experience in sales and management within the marine and marina industry. He has extensive knowledge of marina and waterfront development, operations, infrastructures and marina components. He has been credited with new product research, development and licensing of marine designs and details. Included in his experience are locating existing marina properties for sale, performing cost analysis of refurbishment, reconfiguring or remodeling of a marina property.

His portfolio also incorporates market research for sites, marina plans and site selection, marina financing and feasibility studies. He also oversees the coordination of engineering, construction planning and scheduling, marina inspection and safety reviews of marina and waterfront facilities. Mr. Halgren has worked for two marinas, for the Washington State Ferry System, as a fuel dock manager and assistant captain for a salvage boat; in customer service and international boat sales for Uniflite, Incorporated, and he co-owned a Uniflite boat dealership and marine accessory store.

Mr.Halgren worked for Bellingham Marine, the world’s largest marina manufacturer, starting in the sales department and leaving 22 years later as the Co-President of the company. He has run his own marina consulting business and was in charge of Flagship Marinas Planning, Expansion and Construction. His broad knowledge of marina operations and waterfront developments greatly enhances his ability to provide marina systems and designs best suited to each marina.

Mr. Halgren is an accomplished author and speaker at many industry forums, including the University of Wisconsin Docks & Marinas Conference “Distinguished Lecturer 2004”, the International Marina Institute, International Boat Builder Expo & Conference, National Marina Conference and The Marina Recreation Association of California to name a few. He is past president and chairman of the Board of Directors for the International Marina Institute and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Bellingham.

Halgren has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and a minor in Economics from Eastern Washington University.
